Here we are about to buy a minivan -- the Civic is getting really crowded and will be completely untenable when they move up to the next bigger car seats (which won't be long now). Don't they look like big boys in their overalls?

Yes, that is Nicholas playing with a piece of trash. But more importantly, look at that head lift! I remember getting really excited over one of those and now he can knock them out without a second thought. They're getting big on me!
So you know it's not all champagne and roses -- this is what it looks like when Nicholas cries. It ain't pretty, or melodic.
Nicholas is appalled that I'm a Mets fan. I keep trying to tell him that we have the pitching this year but he continues to be concerned about our strength up the middle. He doesn't buy my story that Reyes and Matsui will be a double play machine by the middle of the season; he thinks that timeline may be too long. He says we should consider kidnapping Leo Mazzone.

I keep reassuring him that Reyes and Matsui will figure it out by midseason -- they might not make the playoffs this year, but they will next. Meanwhile, we might consider kidnapping Leo Mazzone.
Soon they'll be rolling to each other. Right now they just get upset when the other pulls their ear. It's a rough life.
We have a strict "no freestyling" policy for the exersaucer. Nicholas compromised by wearing his socks.
Tyler is thinking, "I wasn't born yesterday, lady. I know you're not really eating that nasty rice cereal!"
AJ is going to have a little sister or brother in a few months. We volunteer our babies so she can get used to the idea of having one around. Here she's holding Tyler.
It's bad when they realize they can grab for something with both hands simultaneously, as Nicholas is demonstrating.
"Why are we sitting here? What is that stuff you're feeding us? I don't think I like where this is going!"
No, we are not trying to suffocate Nicholas. He likes textiles so much he will pull them over if there is any possible way he can reach them. We used to be alarmed when we'd walk into his room at night and find his blanket over his face; we've come to accept it. Maybe he'll be a fashion designer...
